How to Use

Remove Markdown: Paste your text and click the button. All Markdown syntax is removed — bold, italic, headers, code blocks, links, blockquotes, tables, horizontal rules, checkboxes, and more. The meaning of your text is preserved exactly.

What Gets Removed

Text formatting: **bold**, *italic*, __underline__, ~~strikethrough~~ — markers removed, text kept.
Headers: # H1 through ###### H6 — hash symbols removed, heading text kept.
Code blocks: fenced blocks (``` or ~~~) removed entirely; inline `code` — backticks removed, content kept.
Links: [text](url) → text only. ![alt](image.jpg) → alt text or URL kept.
Blockquotes: > quoted text — angle brackets removed, text kept.
Tables: converted to simplified plain text, one row per line.
Horizontal rules: ---, ***, ___ removed.
Lists: bullet asterisks * removed; dashes - and pluses + kept as-is.
Checkboxes: [ ] and [x] removed.
Escaped characters: \*, \_, etc. — backslash removed, character kept.
HTML comments:  removed entirely.
Footnotes and math: [^1], $formula$ removed.

What Stays Untouched

All regular text — every word, number, and punctuation mark is preserved exactly.
Line breaks and paragraph spacing — structure is kept, only Markdown symbols are removed.
Dashes - and pluses + used as list markers — these are kept because they are common in plain text too.
URLs in plain text — links that appear as raw URLs are kept as-is.
